Start here: your first voice note

Welcome to Talk & Comment. The fastest way to get set up is to follow the built‑in onboarding flow.

Quick start (onboarding)

1. Install the Chrome extension. If you don’t have it yet, install from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Open onboarding: https://talkandcomment.com/app/onboarding/step1
3. Pick your role. This enables the right privacy and recording settings.
4. Pin the extension. Click the puzzle icon in Chrome and pin Talk & Comment.
5. Allow microphone access. When prompted, click Allow.
6. Record your first note. Click the mic, speak, and stop.
7. Paste the link to render the player. The link copies automatically—paste it into a comment, doc, or slide to see the inline player appear. Don’t skip this manual paste → render step.
8. Sign in to save notes. You can record without signing in, but signing in helps save your library.

Helpful tips

• Links work anywhere: Anyone can click the link, even if they don’t have Talk & Comment.
• Inline player requires paste: The inline player only appears after you paste the link into the page.
